MY FAVORITE YOUTUBERS............ 

Do YOU watch any YouTube?  A couple of years ago it wasn't the norm for me, but now it's a DAILY thing.  I don't have a tv in my bedroom, so I watch YouTube videos on my iPad to lull me to sleep.  

I've made several of my own videos, but I've been super laxed this year about it and I really want to get back in the saddle.  I can't really say WHY I stopped......... burnt out, lazy, ...... I don't know.  I LOVE to make them, but I've just taken a break.

I love watching Alfie Deyes, aka #Pointless Blog.  He does daily vlogging to his 3.7 MILLION subscribers with his girlfriend, another favorite YouTuber of mine...........

Zoe Sugg, aka #Zoella.  They're  a cute couple who are positive and seem to have fun together with their pup Nala the pug and their 2 guinea pigs.  I just love positive people.  They're not perfect and no one is, but it's just refreshing to see them live a positive, happy life.  It's amazing that she has over 10 MILLION subscribers!  I'm listening to her 3rd book, Girl Online Going Solo.  I'm hoping she does another one, but we'll have to wait and see.

Another of my favorites is #Tati aka #GlamLifeGuru.  She buys some ridiculously expensive makeup to give over 2 MILLION subscribers the low down on whether or not it's truly worth the price.  She and her boyfriend James have some cute interactions together with their pup Puka. 

A favorite of mine that I started watching when she had about 190,000 subscribers is Bunny Meyer, aka #Grav3yardgirl. 

She now has over 7 MILLION subscribers!  She does unboxings, makeup reviews, "Does This Thing Really Work?", and more.  She's a positive roll model for all ages.  Having been bullied earlier in her life, she knows how it feels and is an encourager to all those going through tough seasons in their lives.  Her love, Dogman, sometimes makes an appearance in her videos.  She doesn't like lip gloss and loves eccentric platform shoes as well as shopping at thrift stores.  I love her humor and positivity. 

Have you heard of #Eleventhgorgeous?  They have over 1.7 MILLION subscribers!

These two sisters could almost pass for twins.  They're humorous in their unboxings and shopping hauls and play well off of each other.  Their hubbies may make an appearance, but only on rare occasions.  Their sweet spirits are very uplifting and positive.  They now also have a new online clothing store called Madison and Mallory.  Way to go girls!

These are just a FEW of the YouTubers I watch.  It beats watching the depressing news on tv.  I'm all about positivity and peace in life and these YouTubers have it!  I also love that, for the most part, the swearing is minimal if at all.  One of my pet peeves is listening to someone swear with every other word that comes out of their mouth.  It's not as cool as they may think it is.  I admire those that film a clean show.  THANK YOU!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Peace.............

Merry Christmas Everyone!!  

I hope that your day is as special as you are! 

We're close to the end of 2016.  It's been quite a year.  I'm sure we're all thankful it's coming to a close.  Today is a day to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, spend time with friends and family enjoying a wonderful meal together whatever it may be. 

Each year for the past several years, I've purchased an ornament with the year on it.  This year I found a beautiful silver snowflake with small crystals in it at Hobby Lobby.  This picture doesn't do it justice!!

And this is my tree where I've hung that snowflake ornament.  My tree skirt says "Peace" as well as a couple of my tree ornaments.  I lived too many years without peace and now that I've found it, it's extremely important to me.

Tomorrow I'm going to continue the daily blog with some of my YouTuber favorites!!

It's Christmas Eve!  Are you excited?  I'm happy that I've kept my promise for a daily review blog of different things in my life.  It's a Christmas Miracle!! LOL

Today's blog is about planning using the Mambi Happy Planner!  This is something I've been doing for over a year and I really love it!  I not only mark down meetings and bills, but also life events and I enjoy decorating it.

I'm a very visual person, so seeing lots of color and making the pages cute, makes me smile. 😄

Here is a sample of one week I've done.  I absolutely love shopping for washi tape and stickers.  If you would have told me a year and a half ago I'd be doing this, I may have called you crazy.  I didn't even know WHAT washi tape was!! LOL  Now, I truly enjoy it all.

These are just a few of the washi tapes and stickers I've purchased.  If I were to show you all that I have, you might pass out! LOL  I purchased these at the Dollar Tree.

There are many Facebook pages for people who love to plan and who enjoy printing & cutting out your own stickers.  There are also many Etsy shops that sell pre-printed and pre-cut stickers for convenience.

The Eve of Christmas Eve............... BoxyCharm Subscription.............

Today is the Eve of Christmas Eve........... Any last-minute shoppers out there?  There's still time. 😃


Have you ever tried a subscription box before?  I've tried several and I think I've found one that I'm really enjoying.  It's BoxyCharm!

I'm the kind of girl who loves to get MAKEUP in a makeup subscription box and not all skin care.  I guess that's why I'm a makeup junkie/hoarder.  LOL

Many so-called makeup subscriptions give you more skin care or terrible smelling perfumes & nail polishes than I care to receive.  It's frustrating for me when I've filled out a questionnaire on the subscription website only to be disappointed that they've sent me EXACTLY what I DON'T WANT.  Has that ever happened to any of you? 

So far, BoxyCharm has been amazing.  I'll continue to post future boxes for you to see.  I hope the trend of great boxes continues!

My Favorite Fruit........ Peaches! Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette......................

Good Morning!  What's YOUR favorite fruit or are you a non-fruit eater?  My absolute favorite fruit is Peaches!! 

What's the best of both worlds between food and makeup?  A peach palette!  Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette is AMAZING!

The colors in this palette are so richly pigmented, they blend like a dream and smell like peaches.  What more could a girl ask for?  I use Peach Pit a LOT in the crease and Nectar on the lid plus White Peach on my brow bone.  When I want to do a more smoky look, I either go with Delectable or Talk Derby To Me.  All the colors are spectacular. 

I'm so excited about the rest of the peach scented line they're coming out with as well. 

Too Faced makes great products.  I'm not quite sure how I feel about them selling to Estee Lauder recently.  I hope and pray they continue to put out more amazing products as they have the past 19 years.

Did Someone Say Chocolate? Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer ............................ And maybe a little Hoola?

As we draw closer to Christmas, there's something else I enjoy.............. CHOCOLATE!  And what's better is when your MAKEUP smells like chocolate!!  Today we're talking about the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. 

This is something I use daily, not only for bronzing, but for contouring.  It's a great way to boost your mood in the morning to smell chocolate!!  I love the tone of this bronzer as well as the fact that it's COMPLETELY matte.  For me personally, I don't care for bronzers that have shimmer in them, unless you're going to use it on your body to add some color and glistening. 



Another bronzer that runs a close second for me is Benefit's Hoola Bronzer.

I enjoy the Hoola, and I know the packaging is unique to Benefit, but I would rather have this product in a compact the way that the chocolate soleil is.  It just gets aggravating at times when you're in a hurry and go to close the box and one of the sides gets caught inside and you end up struggling with it when you really don't have time.  I also wish it smelled of chocolate, not gonna lie! LOL

L'Oreal Brow Stylist Definer................

Happy Tuesday December 20, 2016!!

Are you cooking a turkey for Christmas?  If it's quite large, be sure to set it out in plenty of time to thaw! 

Today we're going to discuss another new favorite of mine.......... It's the L'Oreal Brow Stylist Definer pencil.  See......... I told you there are a LOT of other L'Oreal products I enjoy!!  😎

I've tried several brow pencils this past year and have found this one to be simply amazing!  The color is spot on and lasts the whole day. 

Personally, I've tried some of the brow powders/waxes, and they're just not for me.  Some people absolutely love them, so I'll leave them for them to purchase. ;)  I prefer a good pencil and this also has a nice spooley on the end.  Its handy to brush through the brows.  I brush through them once before applying the pencil and again after to help make them look more natural.

What is YOUR favorite way to do your brows or do you leave them naturally the way they are?  I never used to do my brows until about a year ago.  I found that it added so much to my makeup look, more defined and put together and now I do my brows daily.

L'Oreal Lineur Intense Eyeliner.....................

Happy Monday December 19, 2016!!



While it IS another Monday, I can't think of a better way to start out the week than by sharing with you my FAVORITE eyeliner.  It's the L'Oreal Lineur Intense Liquid Eyeliner!! 

I cannot begin to tell you how many of these I've gone through over the years.  It's an intense black liner that stays with me all day.  I've tried so many other liners, from felt tip pens, to markers, to hard pencils and nothing works for me the way this liner does.  I know I've used this phrase a LOT this Christmas, but it truly IS my RIDE OR DIE liner. 

Many people tout about felt tip liners and how easy they are to use, etc...., but not me.  I find that they skip and drag on my eyes, but this liquid eyeliner applies smoothly and I use it daily.  I've also tried other liquid eyeliners.  None compare to this one and as long as L'Oreal continues to make it, I will continue to buy it.

Covergirl ~ Super Sizer Mascara ~ Waterproof

Happy Sunday Morning December 18, 2016!!

One week from today is Christmas!!  Woot Woot!  Do you have big plans or are you spending a nice quiet holiday at home?  I'll be going in several directions.


Today's item of discussion is the Covergirl Super-Sizer Mascara in the waterproof formula.  This is my ride or die mascara!!

If you've never tried it before, I strongly suggest you do.  Compared to other high-end mascaras, I find this drugstore mascara to top them all!  It has a rich, black color and stays all day with NO flaking or smudging.  I also sometimes wear contacts and this formula doesn't bother my eyes with my contacts in.  The Garnier Micellar Water we discussed yesterday definitely removes this mascara when you're ready to remove it.

**Helpful Tip**
One thing I've discovered lately that really helps to lengthen my eyelashes with the mascara is to flick my eyelashes while holding the mascara wand still instead of moving the mascara wand.  I'll do a video for this in the near future.  I find that it makes my lashes appear even longer and helps them to curl up more.  Give it a go and let me know if it works for you too!

Tomorrow is Monday again, but let's not dwell on that.  Let's get excited about a fun time with family and friends this weekend as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water ~ Waterproof ...............

Ahhhhhh........... A day to sleep in and enjoy time off from work!  💤

Today's item we're discussing is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in Waterproof formula.

Micellar water has been all the rage these past few months, so, like many others, I jumped on the bandwagon to see what all the hype was about.  I chose the waterproof formula as I mostly wear waterproof mascara. (I'll share my favorite one with you tomorrow!!)

I've gone through 2 bottles of this formula so far, so that tells you I really like it! LOL  It's gentle on my eyes, doesn't cause any stinging and really clears off the waterproof mascara I wear.  I don't know exactly what micelles are, but I do know they work and I don't have to rub and re-rub to get the makeup off.  It also doesn't dry out my skin.  This product is a win-win for me! 😁

BH Cosmetics ~ Carli Bybel Palette.................

Happy FRIDAY December 16, 2016!!

We actually made it to another Friday!  Can you believe it?  I always get excited because it means the weekend is just around the corner.

I love to stay home, snuggle up on the couch under a blanket and watch tv in front of my fireplace.  (It's electric, so I even have a remote for it!  Booyah!)  I shut off all the lights except for the Chrismas tree lights and the tv and just enjoy.

What's your favorite weekend thing to do?

Today we're going to talk about the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel palette.  I just ordered this not too long ago.  I enjoy her YouTube videos and have enjoyed other BH Cosmetics so I thought I'd give it a whirl.

(Please note, these are not my picture swatches.)

I have mixed reviews on this palette.  The colors are beautiful with great pigmentation!  But I definitely smell an odd odor from the palette.  I'm not sure if it's coming from the shadows or the packaging, but it's not pleasant.  Thankfully it's not overpowering.  I just smell something when I lift the palette to use it.  Maybe I'm just crazy? LOL

When I first dipped my eye shadow brush into this palette, it dusts up immediately.  While I'm able to pick up product on my brush, there is a lot of powder left in the pan as well.  Many different palettes have this type of scenario.  I just wanted you to know what to expect should you decide to order it.

There are 10 eye shadows and 4 highlight colors in this palette.  I've actually used some of the highlighters on my eyes as well.  Always remember to step out of the box and try something unconventional.  Just because it says it's a highlighter, doesn't mean it can't be used as a shadow and vice versa.

The price point is normally $20, but right now it's on sale for $14.50.  I've only used these shadows with a primer on my lids before applying and they last all day.

Fresh Life...... Eau de Parfum......

Happy Thursday December 15, 2016!!

Only 10 more days to go!  WHERE has this year gone?  It seems like only yesterday it was June/July.  Now we're nearing Christmas and the time has just slipped away so quickly.


Today's product is a new perfume for me.  I'm not sure how long it's been on the market, but I received a sample and fell in love.  My boyfriend also loves the fragrance, which led me to purchasing it in a roller ball.

It's called Fresh Life.  Here is how it's described online (since I'm not that great at it)......

Airy notes of grapefruit, lilac leaves, transparent magnolia float above sunny hints of silk amber, warm orange, and tonka flowers, balanced by the aquatic freshness of sweet cucumber, sparkling moss, and morning dew. At the base, Earthy notes of velvet bergamot, vanilla grass, and dreamy cypress anchor the fragrance.

I'm not even sure what a tonka flower is, but I really love this blend.  If you can get a sample before purchasing, I would highly suggest that for any fragrance that's new to you.  This roller ball runs $25, so you want to be sure you like it before spending the money.

Soap and Glory Primer...............

Happy Wednesday December 14th, 2016!!

Are you getting any snow where you live?  I've lived with snow every winter for my entire life, but I'm getting to the point that I wouldn't mind living in a warmer climate without it! LOL  If it would snow everywhere except the roads, sidewalks and driveways, I wouldn't mind a bit! 😁  Unfortunately, I don't see that happening any time soon.........

Today, as the header reads, I'll be talking about a primer by Soap & Glory.

It's called, One Heck of a Blot, primer.  I was intrigued that Soap & Glory had made such a product, so I thought, why not?  I'll give it a go.

When applying this primer to my face, it has a very cooling and moisturizing feel to it.  I love the way it makes my skin feel initially, but I can't say as though I find that it truly works well as an actual primer.  I feel like it's more of a moisturizer than anything because it absorbs right into my skin.

It claims to make your pores look smaller and to control shine all day while reducing redness in your skin.  Again, for me personally, I only find it to be more of a moisturizer which is why I don't hate the product, I just don't feel that it does what it claims it can do, at least not on my skin in particular.

POREfessional Primer.............

Happy Tuesday December 13th!

Today's review is about Benefit's POREfessional Primer.

This primer has a slight skin tint to it and has a WONDERFUL smell.  Its light with floral notes.  It's great for filling in pores before putting on your foundation.  It's oil-free and helps your makeup stay where you put it with it's silky, lightweight feel.  Personally I feel it helps my foundation go on much more smoothly than without a primer.

While it has a high price-tag, Christmas time is a great opportunity to get this product in a  Christmas gift set which not only allows you to get it at a better price, but to also try out other great Benefit products as well!

There is a trial size and I believe that runs around $10 if you only want to try the primer.

We'll discuss another primer I've tried that I have mixed reviews on.  You'll have to come back tomorrow to find out what it is!

Tarte Shape Tape.............

Happy December 11th!

We're another day closer to Christmas.  How's your shopping, decorating and wrapping coming?  My tree is up and PART of my gifts are purchased, but NOTHING is wrapped yet!  I'm a bit of a procrastinator, but I'll get it done.  I seem to work better under pressure. LOL

Today I'm doing a review on the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer...........

This is one of the fastest selling products I've seen.  I was able to get my hands on one to give it a go.  It's quite light for my skin, but once I blend it out, it works well!  This is definitely a product where a little goes a LONG way!!


As you can see by the picture, it has a larger doe foot applicator and is a relatively thick formula.  I use the bottom of my sponge blender (purchased for $1, YES, only $1 through www.shopmissa.com) to blend it out.  For me this works quite well.  { We'll talk more about this cool website tomorrow! }

While a bit on the pricier side at $24, this concealer it will certainly last you quite some time.  I can see why it's selling out like crazy.

Happy December 10th!!!

Only 15 more days until the big day.  I've considered many times to wait to have Christmas until AFTER the holiday to get gifts at a fraction of the price when all the stores are in a mad rush to get rid of the Christmas items in preparation for Valentine's day.  💜  I haven't done that yet, but it's a possibility for the future!! LOL




Today's review is on the Kat Von D liquid lipstick Lolitta.............

Right now this is my ride or die liquid lipstick!!

I put on a layer of lip liner by Rimmel in the color 018 Addiction... all over my lips before putting on the liquid lipstick.

These 2 colors go together beautifully and the combination doesn't leave my lips feeling dry at all.  I feel as though the color goes with most anything.  It's my lips but better!! 😁 👄

I know this lipstick is sold out a lot of the time due to it's popularity, but if you have a chance to get it, go for it!  It's a beautiful chestnut rose that looks great on most anyone!

L'Oreal Pro Glow Foundation.........

Now.............. Please don't get me wrong.  I LOVE many L'Oreal products and I REALLY wanted to love this foundation.  Alas.......... I DO NOT........ 😔

This is the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation.  The original formulation of this foundation was a no go for me as well.  The original was very drying on my skin and just didn't work.

I was so excited when the Pro-Glow formula came out!  I thought, FINALLY!  This will be more moisturizing for my skin and not drying.

I tried it for a couple of weeks and was thinking I was liking it at first.  Then I noticed my face began breaking out.  I rarely break out anymore, so initially I wondered what was happening.  I was watching a review from Tati on YouTube.  She remarked that this foundation was making her break out.  It was one of those 'duh' moments for me! LOL  I thought, THAT'S got to be my issue, so I discontinued using it and sure enough, my face cleared up.

I'm not quite sure what's in the ingredients of this product that began making me break out, but I've learned the hard way that this formulation is a no go for me as well. 😥

Their powder, on the other hand, is a true winner for me!

In my opinion, this powder makes my skin look amazing!  It also keeps me matte and I appreciate that.  It's definitely a thumbs up from me!  👍

Milani Christmas.......

Happy December 8th!

It's a Milani Christmas!

I've been wanting to try this Milani 2 in 1 Conceal + Perfect Foundation since it first came out.  I finally gave it a go and LOVE it!  If you're looking for a light coverage foundation, this one is NOT for you.  It's more of a full-coverage foundation.

In all truth and honesty, I purchased the wrong shade for my skin.  It has quite a bit of yellow in it, but I've made it work.  I'll be getting a shade that's more suitable for me.

The packaging is GREAT!  It's in a glass bottle with a pump.  Personally, I feel that any foundation that is packaged in a glass bottle is a better product just because it's not absorbing anything from plastic packaging.   It's probably just my mind, but that's my feeling.

I know that some people aren't a fan of this foundation, but for my skin, it's great.  I'm kind of combination skin.  I'm oily in my T zone and drier on my cheeks.  Whatever it consists of, it works well for me.

If you have an opportunity to try it, please do.  It's not expensive (around $10) and doesn't make me break out like another foundation I tried.  That will be in tomorrow's blog.

Merry Christmas ~ December 2016

Merry Christmas Month! 

I've got so many products to review, so I need to get going and let you know all the things I'm trying!

I'll do one or two per day each day until Christmas.  

I've wanted to try the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray and I've finally purchased it.  I've been using it for about a month.  I wasn't sure what all the hype was about, but now that I've had a chance to use it myself, I can see why.  It truly DOES keep my makeup set all day.  I love the fine mist from the pump.  AND, besides the great product itself, I LOVE the color of the packaging.  Purple is one of my favorites and it makes me happy seeing it on my makeup vanity.  It's one of the small things that makes me smile.

What makes you smile?  Ask yourself what that is and be sure to smile today.  

Please find something to enjoy in the days leading up to Christmas.  Don't let the holiday overwhelm you.  We sometimes forget the true reason for the season and get too caught up in the hub bub of it all.
